I did a really great gig last night! It was in the Grand Hall in Winchester for the Round Table Association. It was a get together of members all across Europe and the venue is the place where the actual round table is kept (on the wall). I used a big light to illuminate it so it looked great during the DISCO.

Henry the 8th showed up (an actor) & I did some improvisation with him in the crowd as he would not let me start the disco! I addressed him as Mr Tudor, which he did not like at all. Suffice to say Mr 8th did not go down well either! It was in front of everyone and they made me start by chanting at him as he said he wanted to chop my head off. Good job he did not as there would have been no disco LOL.

I was meeting a couple at East Close Hotel in the New Forest last week regarding a wedding this year. The phone rang & it was East Close which was very strange!

Basically they needed a DJ for the next day to play on their "secret garden" party. being free I agreed. What a great day! There are a number of massive cushioned areas on the lawn and giant crocket, chess etc.

I do it every Sunday while the weather holds playing Funky house, 70's soul, summer classics, spanish & Caribbean tracks from 3pm-7pm. The venue is stunning and the food, drink & service is great! Come down and join myself and the dogs (Willow & Dudley).

I traveled to Devon last weekend to do a wedding. I was very pleased as they did not want the resident DJ and had seen me at one of their friends wedding. The one problem was that I had an all day wedding in Chichester the next day (4 hour drive). I took my Subaru instead of the van as they quite simply do not break down!

I arrived and WOW what a view! Checked in to my B&B (which i only slept in for 4 hours) and set up.

Great night lovely people and a brilliant wedding. Worth the trip. I was up the next morning at 6am and back in Chichester for 12pm for an all day marquee wedding.

That went well too. Had a prom the next day - BUSY!

Did a gig in a really nice modern Church the other day. there was a sit down meal with hog roast and dancing followed. Bit cheesy playlist but thats what they wanted (including requests) so that's what they got!

I played background music and then they had a small award ceremony. The disco then followed after some rather amateur stand up comedy from myself LOL.

They loved their cheesy classics so ended up playing Abba, Queen etc. as they did not dance to anything else I tried. Packed dance floor all night. Great venue and hope i do it again!

I often do the odd nightclub gig in Southampton!

To the right is a small minimix of a totally unrehearsed LIVE DJ set at The Whitehouse Nightclub in Southampton, Hampshire - playing too a full house of 250 people.

Two of the tracks were requests on the night - (one during this mix). Set includes a four deck set of two Pioneer CD'js, a Vestax VCI & a mac laptop running Serato Itch.

I use these mixing skills in my Mobile sets (obviously using more appropriate music to suite the event). This allows me to seamlessly change from different genres and decades of music to relate to a crowd of differing ages and musical tastes.

Got another last min call from a friend who needed a DJ for an international student boat party last Mon.

i do not do allot during the week so I accepted. The budget was low so we settled on a smaller set up. Great gig!

It was on a small party boat that sails from Ocean village in Southampton. Most of the kids were aged 12-16 and largely Spanish. I used to promote an international party in Que pasa in town so I know what makes them move!

I have recently started a new group called the Southampton DJ association. The way I see it I am free most of the week so why not spend one week day a month with my peers talking about our passion - being a DJ!

It is open to any serious local DJ and we currently have over 20 members. We have had a few very successful meetings and a great laugh together!

It is nice to meet faces we normally see on the internet. Usually we are all working at the same time so its difficult to meet each other face to face unless playing at the same venue.

A couple of the members have club residencies so its also a good excuse to go out after and le our hair down!
